About the Director:  My name is Mindy McDaniel. I am 52 years old, originally from Indiana, and married to Mark Merrill. I have three grown sons. Tim & Mark live in Indiana, & Barry lives in Kentucky. I have 1 brother and 4 sisters. I am a graduate of Indiana University Purdue University (IUPUI). I have worked in education for 19 years. My biggest love is of animals...I have 2 dogs, 2 cats, and an iguana.

Resources Available: The Family Resource Center (FRC) is a liaison for families and services available in our community. I also offer programs such as parenting classes, a lending library, a food pantry and clothes closet, Holiday help, tutoring, and more. My services are free and available to any Anderson County resident. The FRC is non-profit. We are supported, in part, by local donations. I always accept clothing, shoes, food, furniture, and household items to be used for area families.

The FRC sponsors a small greenhouse located at NWMS. Science classes at both the elementay and middle school level use the greenhouse as an instrument of higher learning. In the Spring, we will be planting limited amounts of vegetables and flowers to be sold to the public.

If you are interested in any of the resources available at the FRC please call 865-435-6566 for more information!
