About the Class
Teen Living
is Family and Consumer Science (Home Economics) on
the middle school level. Teen Living is about you.
The class covers personal growth, health and
nutrition, child care, clothing, problem solving and managing
one’s resources. It is knowledge to enrich the lives of its
students and those around them.
Course Syllabus
About the Teacher
Mrs. Jones grew up in the small East Tennessee
town of White Pine. She attended Carson Newman College and The
University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where she
received her degree in Home Economics Education. While at
Carson Newman she met her husband, Mike. They made their home
in his hometown of Oliver Springs.
They have two sons, Corey and Anthony and a new
daughter-in-law, Lindsey. Mrs. Jones is a member of Middle
Creek Baptist Church. She enjoys cooking, sewing and
various crafts, reading and camping with her family. She has
one very special pet, a black lab named Josie.
